Vampire Anthology Out!

Although it is a stretch to call it crime fiction (though there is a crime element to the tale), my short story, "For the Sake of Art" appears in the newly released anthology Vampire Dreamspell from LL Dreamspell, a Houston-based publisher.

The book is up on Amazon as a Kindle edition and the hard copy should be there soon.  Meanwhile, you can order a copy directly from the publisher here:  http://www.lldreamspell.com/Anthologies.htm

Or...I picked up a few extra copies that I can hand sell to anyone who is interested.  Get a hold of me on Facebook or email frankzafiro@msn.com and we'll work it out.  I can let them go for $10 apiece, but I only have about five copies available, so hurry.

I have another story, "Prank Call," that will be featured in next year's anthology Dreamspell Revenge, from the same publisher.

Appearances This Week

I will be at the LEIRA Conference at the Red Lion this week on Wednesday and Thursday (May 5 and 6) from 12-6 PM.  This is the Law Enforcement Records handlers conference, which is obviously a closed conference.  I'll be in the vendor's area.  Not sure if that'll be open to the public or not, but if you're in the area, swing by and see me.

On Saturday the 8th of May, I'll be at the Hastings in Coeur d'Alene from 4-7 PM in support of my third River City novel, Beneath a Weeping Sky.  Come on by, say hello and get your signed copy!

Draft of THE LAST HORSEMAN Finished

Well, dear reader, good news.  I've finished my latest revision of The Last Horseman.  This novel is a crime fiction thriller, the first I've finished writing that is not a River City crime novel.

Since I was brazen enough [read:  foolish] to mention that I was working on it in a previous post (here), I figured I'd better at least report that the most recent draft was finished.  Of course, 'finished' is a long ways from 'published', but at least I'm doing what I said I was going to do.

I probably won't mention this book again until I can announce publication...but until then, you heard it here first.
